AGSL is committed to providing a positive softball environment for all our participants and families.  Positive Coaching, Sportsmanship, and Teamwork are fundamental to our mission.  We desire to cultivate the passion of the game while teaching the skills to develop a competitive atmosphere regardless of skill level.  Most importantly, we want to ensure are participants have FUN! * Please note if you would like you child to play in a level outside of their age range, evalutions are required.

AUBURN GIRLS SOFTBALL LEAGUE - AGSL

1. I will remember that children learn best by example. I will applaud good plays by our team and by members of the opposing team.

2. I will encourage my child to play by the rules.

3. I will try to help my child understand that her overall development, improvement, social interaction and good sportsmanship are more important than winning or losing ball games.

4. I will never ridicule my child or another child for making a mistake or losing ball games.

5. I will not publicly ridicule or harass the official’s judgment and honesty.

6. Under no circumstances will I enter the field/court of play during practice or games unless invited.

7. I will support all efforts to remove verbal and physical abuse from youth sports.

8. I will recognize the value and importance of volunteer coaches. I will talk to the coach privately if I have concerns and will not publicly ridicule or harass him/her.

9. I will support my child’s involvement in sports and maintain realistic expectations about this involvement.

10. I will not make negative comments to players, parents, officials, or coaches of either team. 

Failure to follow these rules may result in you being removed from any field or facility that is holding an AGSL event at any time. This does include all spectators that accompany your child to any AGSL event.
