What recommended ages are the leagues?

• Prep League: ages 4-6
• Coach Pitch League: ages 7-8
• Minor League: ages 9-11
• Major League: ages 12-14
• Senior League: ages 15-18 (Rules provided every season directly to coaches)

Are there evaluations?

Yes for Minor (9-11 years of age) & Majors (12-14 years of age)

How teams are divided?

  Minor & Major league are drafted by coaches with board member supervision.  

How do I sign up?

Fill out the registration packet (registration form, code of conduct, and liability waver), you can either mail it in by the deadline applicable for that year or drop off during one of the walk up registrations held a Rieke Park. Dates and times change yearly.

What if I miss registration?

We prefer not to turn any player away, but if we have exceeded our capacity we may not be able to accept the late registration.  A late fee will apply. **Subject to change**

Can we request players to be on the same team?

Yes, you may request players to be on the same team if they are siblings or relatives.  We will do our best to accommodate your request, but cannot guarantee it.  We make our best effort to create teams of equal talent to make it the best experience for all participants.

Where are practices held?

Practices will be a Rieke Park and Smith Aces.

How much does equipment cost?

AGSL provides equipment except for:

• Gloves
  

• Cleat’s (not required, but recommended)
  

Is travel required?

Travel may be required if your player is selected for an all-Star team, otherwise games will be held at Rieke Park for all ages.

Who are coaches?

Coaches are volunteers

What is the time commitment?

We are a community recreation league, approximately from early April until end of June.

• Prep & Coach pitch – one practice a week and one game a week. Practice times are determined by coaches.  
  

• Minor-Major – two practices a week until regular season. Two games a week, and one practice during regular season. Practice times are determined by coaches.
  

• Senior – TBD
